According to eGaming Monitor and other reputable sources, between 15 and 18 new slot games are released every single day. Creating and maintaining visibility in crowded markets is a challenge but more so is actually getting your games played. 

 

Collaborating with online streamers would seem to tick all the boxes for game providers looking to make a sustained and measurable impact. But is it that straightforward? We spoke to Steven Chan, Account Manager - Brazil, TaDa Gaming to discuss TaDa’s streamer collaborations in Brazil; the impact of delivering co-branded game Fortune Yuri 500; and how TaDa is delivering a scalable approach to connecting its games more firmly with influencers’ audiences.

 

 

The power of collaboration

The original brief was to find the right livestreaming collaborator for the Brazilian- market-designed Lucky slots series. The main criteria were the skill and immediacy of the streaming action, the authenticity and impact of the streamer and multi-platform distribution.

 

And that is how Yuri Brida aka @Yuri22 came onboard with TaDa Gaming. With over 2.2M Instagram followers and 1.1M+on YouTube with tens of millions of views, the Brazilian star is a significant force in Portuguese-speaking gaming environments. 

 

Furthermore, Yuri’s authentic entertainment and community presentation style told us his streams would deliver the results we wanted from a collaboration.

So, in view of the significant uplift across all KPIs from Yuri’s streaming, TaDa took the next step to cement the collaboration and design a bespoke slot for the distinctive presenter, leaning into his audience.

 

 

Designing the streamer-led branded game to activate the audience

We actively co-designed the gameplay with the streamer’s persona and Yuri’s “Aqui é GOTI!” catchphrase. This meant the game felt native to his channel and instantly recognisable to his fans while still delivering an immersive gaming experience.

 

Making games that work well on live streams and transmit genuine excitement creates bigger impacts on game take-up and player engagement and retention than anything we could do in a lobby so we knew the game had to speak to the players.

 

The mechanics had to outperform the celebrity branding so while Fortune Yuri 500 highlights Yuri’s appearance for the symbols and the Wild, the special feature bonus reel is the game’s engine. It randomly displays multiplier values up to 500x and a powerful Ex NUDGE symbol. 

 

When the Ex NUDGE feature triggers, it sets off a sequence of 11 potential multiplier grabs. The multipliers will be added together as they create a combining chain for big win potential and deliver active gaming experiences for players looking for more strategic choices.

 

Furthermore, the addition of the Extra Bets function not only allows players to filter out the lower level multipliers but enables streamers like Yuri to jump straight to the game’s action for maximum authentic streaming impact in real time.

 

 

Adding mechanics that encourage live interaction and extra gamification

Encouraging viewers to participate in the action rather than just watching is critical. We enabled Yuri to launch challenges and competitions to win prizes.
